What’s included in every session?
Every session includes all professionally edited digital images delivered in an online gallery with unlimited downloads, plus a 30% discount if you’d like to order prints through me. My studio is fully equipped and includes access to a client wardrobe for babies, kids, and adults.
What should we wear?
You’re welcome to borrow from my curated wardrobe, or I can help you coordinate outfits. I’m always happy to help you pick something that photographs well and feels like you.
Do I need professional hair and makeup?
It’s totally optional! I have some amazing artists I can recommend and help you schedule if you'd like. That said, my editing style will make sure you look beautiful with or without it. This applies especially to maternity, family, and boudoir sessions.
How far in advance should I book?
My calendar books up quickly, so I recommend booking 3–4 months in advance to secure your ideal date. Newborns can be scheduled near your due date, and we’ll finalize once baby arrives.
When should I schedule maternity and newborn photos?
Maternity sessions are best done between 28–32 weeks. For newborns, I recommend coming in within the first 14 days for those sleepy baby shots, but I welcome babies up to one month old for lifestyle-style sessions.
Do you offer mini sessions?
Yes! I offer seasonal mini sessions throughout the year around key holidays and themes. This includes Easter and spring minis, Mother’s Day minis, country-themed sessions in June, ocean minis in July and August, fall sessions in September through November, and Christmas minis at the end of November. I also offer personality portraits year-round.
Where do sessions take place?
Studio sessions happen in my home studio in Fairfield, CA. I also shoot outdoors at select locations in Fairfield and Vacaville.
How soon will I get my photos back?
Regular sessions are delivered within two weeks. Wedding galleries are delivered within 6–8 weeks, and video content typically takes about four weeks. I always try to deliver earlier whenever possible!
What if my kids won’t cooperate?
Don’t worry—I’ve got it covered. I have lots of tricks to keep things light and fun. Some of the best images happen in the in-between moments.
Do you travel?
Yes! I serve clients all across Northern California, including Fairfield, Vacaville, Napa, Sacramento, and the Bay Area. Most clients come to my favorite locations in Fairfield and Vacaville, but I am happy to discuss a destination location for a travel fee. I’m also available for destination weddings and branding sessions with advance notice.

Photos by Cady offers maternity photography sessions in Vacaville, California, with studio and outdoor options. Sessions are designed for expecting mothers who want natural, modern, and flattering portraits, with wardrobe guidance included.
Where is your photography studio located?
My home photography studios are located in Fairfield, which is 10 minutes from Vacaville, 25 minutes from Napa and 45 minutes from the Bay Area and Sacramento. Since it is a private location, the address will be provided during our session planning process.
How far in advance should I book newborn photos?
Once you have had your 12 week scan, you are welcome to book your newborn photos! You can book around your due date, this secures your place on my calendar, and the date is flexible. Once you deliver, we will get your date locked in within two weeks of birth.
